Dear Friends,

I’m currently teaching a retreat at Spirit Rock. This week’s guest speaker will be Noliwe Alexander, who has been to the Monastery to share the Dharma with us before. Noliwe’s talk is entitled “Cultivating a Mature Practice Through Sila.” The Buddha spoke of Sila, the Pali word for Integrity or Virtue, as the foundation for inner peace and awakening.

Noliwe has been a student of Vipassana meditation for over 15 years. She is a Life & Business Coach dedicating both her coaching & Dharma practice to the POC, LGBT, At Risk and Elder communities. She is currently in the new Spirit Rock Teacher Training and also on Spirit Rock’s staff helping coordinate our Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity Initiative.

I’m sure you’ll enjoy her presence.

With metta,
James
