||“When people get together to share their concern and uncertainty it transmutes the anxiety into positive action, a lived experience of refuge in sangha. As we head into the uncharted waters that lie ahead, this will be the key to making a difference.” — James Baraz
Join us Friday, January 20, 6:30 – 8:00 pm PT, for an Inauguration Day Dharma Community Gathering and Sit led by James Baraz, Kate Munding, Wes Nisker, and other Spirit Rock teachers. We are coming together as a community to hold our experiences around national events with compassion and to support one another during this moment of change and uncertainty. There will be time for connection and sitting in the truth of this moment together.
Preregistration is not required, just come! This event is free and open to all.
This community gathering kicks off our new Thursday night “Dharma of Now” meditation and discussion group. In this time of extraordinary change and uncertainty, we will be coming together as a community to understand how to respond to current events from the wisdom of the Dharma. This time of refuge together will include practices, teachings and discussions that nurture our internal life in support of external service. Each weekly gathering focuses on an issue of particular concern to the community and the world.
