Beginning Meditation Class

James Baraz and other teachers offer a Beginning Meditation Class several times a year for those interested in learning or reviewing the practice of mindfulness and the basic teachings of the Buddha.

This class is provided on a dana (donation) basis, with no pre-registration necessary.

You can download a copy of our printed Meditation Instructions or find it on our greeter’s table on Thursday evenings.  Although they are geared toward those who are new to meditation, experienced practitioners may also benefit. Another great website at the “Insight Meditation Center”, offers basic meditation instructions in both written and audio form; this is an excellent resource that includes instructions for sitting and walking meditation, talks on the 4 foundations of mindfulness, and a document on meditation postures by Ines Freeman.
